I developed two walking tours that combine the history, personalities, and themes in Homestead’s history. One focuses on the overall history of Homestead. The other tells the story of Homestead’s Jewish community within the context of the larger town. Both take about 2 hours and cover 1.5 miles on foot within the town itself. During the tour, I share numerous historic photographs to bring each stop to life, and afterwards I provide a list of additional locations outside of the tour route that are worth visiting as well.
I give these tours periodically as my schedule and people’s interest align. Please contact me if you’d like for me to put together a tour for your group!
